  • North Central Phoenix

Growing up in Phoenix, driving down Central Ave. was always a treat.  It had character and substance.  Some homes were historic, many were super sized ranches and all of them sat on big grassy lots full of shady trees.  It was reminiscent of old Phoenix when the Chamber of Commerce urged citizens to plant grass, flowers & trees and the North Central Improvement Assoc. campaigned to make Central Avenue "the state's most majestic boulevard". North Central Phoenix has retained it's affluent image but offers more diversity with condos and townhouses, mid-century homes on up to elegantluxury homes.

Local residents are drawn to this area because of it's central location, excellent schools, easy commute to downtown, great shopping and picturesque family oriented neighborhoods.  Living in Central Phoenix appeals to those who like being closer to the heart of the city, near museums & theaters and appreciate the architecture of days gone by.  Neighbors can bike ride along the canal, jog along the bidle path on Central Ave and then shop for the finest gourmet goodies at AJ's in Uptown Plaza. It's the essence of living in North Central Phoenix.  Don't forget to check out the new light rail map.
